Almost. The break screen is full-screen, always-on-top, and blocks cmd+tab. That said, macOS always has the final say — you can force-quit RepLock via Activity Monitor or a keyboard shortcut. But doing so breaks your streak, and the app logs it. The design is about making skipping costly, not impossible.
There's a small "Camera not working?" link at the bottom of the break screen. Tap it and a 30-second countdown starts. After 30 seconds, the screen unlocks. This is logged as a "forced unlock" in your stats (separate from snoozes) and does not break your streak — we won't punish you for hardware issues.
Yes. RepLock uses whatever camera macOS provides as the default. If your external webcam disconnects mid-break (e.g., you unplug a dock), RepLock automatically switches to the built-in FaceTime camera. Your rep count is preserved — only the video stream restarts.
No. Never. All pose detection runs locally on your Mac via WebAssembly (MediaPipe). No frames, images, or video are saved to disk or transmitted. We don't run servers. We literally cannot see your camera feed. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
RepLock detects when Zoom, FaceTime, or Google Meet are in an active audio session and automatically pauses the break timer. Breaks won't trigger during calls. You can toggle this off in Settings if you want breaks regardless.
RepLock uses adaptive thresholds — it learns your range of motion over the first few reps. For best results: make sure your full upper body is visible in the camera, ensure decent lighting, and position yourself 4–6 feet from the camera. If the tracking indicator shows "POOR," try adjusting your position or lighting.
During your 14-day trial, if you complete at least one break per day for 5 consecutive days, you unlock the lifetime deal at $34.99 (normally $49.99). The discount stays available until your trial ends. You can see your unlock status on the Account screen inside the app.
After the trial ends (or on a fresh install), you'll see a "Restore license" option on the paywall screen. Paste your license key and RepLock will validate it with LemonSqueezy and unlock immediately. You can find your key in the purchase confirmation email from LemonSqueezy.
Refunds are handled by LemonSqueezy (our payment processor). Since RepLock offers a full-featured 14-day trial, we encourage you to evaluate the app fully before purchasing. If you experience technical issues that prevent RepLock from working, email support@replock.app and we'll sort it out.
Open the app window (click the menu bar icon → Stats, Settings, or Account), then use the "Quit app" option in the sidebar. There's no quit option in the menu bar dropdown — that's intentional friction to keep you committed.
